DESCRIPTION:Elizabeth Roberts is talking about the Great North Road, it is now 200 years since work commenced on building the road, part of which on the boarder of the Central Coast Council with Hawkesbury Council is now World Heritage listed. Till 1927 parts of the Great North Road was the only road link between Sydney and the Central Coast. Elizabeth will also discuss the living conditions and working conditions for the convicts working building the road. Her talk is fully illustrated and she is planning to bring a road relic.\n\n
